Great staff very attentive. We had planned to see a concert at the Opera House and the Marriott is in an ideal location for this. We arrived over Two hours before check in, to see if we could leave our case at the hotel, whilst we explored the city for a few hours. Reception allowed us to check in early which was a great bonus and unexpected. If you're planning on seeing a show at the Opera house, the Marriott is a Five minute walk away so absolutely ideal. Deansgate isn't much further as is Springfields. Lots to see and do close to the hotel. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but we did have breakfast and it was excellent. There was plenty of choice for everyone. All in all, we had a great time in Manchester and the Marriott was superb. Great staff, very clean and lovely rooms. The victoria and Albert is an old cotton mill so has plenty of character. The next time we're in Manchester we will 100% return to the Marriott.

The room was comfortable with air conditioning. Everything was clean and there is a good strong shower. The quality of the soaps, shower gels and conditioners could not be faulted. There was a pleasant view of the front from the window. We paid for breakfast which was very good. A wide selection of options was available from the buffet as well as a good list that could be ordered from the menu. Extremely professional staff who were friendly, competent and polite. We appreciated the late checkout and took advantage of the discount from the NCP car park just round the corner. The location is excellent! It's within walking distance of theatres, restaurants, museums and galleries. There is also a lovely viaduct garden very nearby.

The staff made the hotel as they were all so pleasant and helpful. I was a little upset as my room had scaffolding over the window, was near a lift and no coffee maker! They changed the room for my further 3 nights and it was so much nicer but still no coffee maker! (It was advertised as having one!) The laughable thing was the door spy hole in first room was a foot higher than my 5ft 3 but in second room it was level with my eyes!! Bed was comfortable, bathroom good but could do with more water pressure in the shower and a bigger shower head. Breakfast was excellent. Limited menu for evening but lots of restaurants nearby.

From evening meal to breakfast i cant fault the quality. The staff were brilliant who bantered back at us which showed a great sense of humour considering all the political correctness gone mad that surrounds our society today. I take my hat off to you all.. The room had everything you could want for a short stay. It was clean modern and the bed...well say no more. The sheets were crispy cool cotton and the bed swallowed you up...and i'm a larger man than the average!! Slept like a baby. Awesome. Don't change for anyone and if anyone complains about anything for the price then they are just being petty!

Room was excellent the design was perfect for a couple. Perfect restoration of an old mill by the riverside. Wide corridors easy lift access ( although one was being repaired ) easy booking. Within walking distance of two big arena complexes, Museums and Dean's gate shopping area. Good restaurants nearby Tattu, Louis and the Ivy. Breakfast superb multiple choices my favourite: French toast brioche with berries and Marscapone. Great service very friendly staff. Only marked the comfort down slightly as the bed was a bit hard for me but it’s all new I suppose! Would definitely stay there again.
